A few words on the U14 season by one of the players – Josh Smith

It’s been a great season at Crendon Corinthians U14’s. From playing in the cup final to every other game, friendly or tournament this team is very good at not only scoring but playing hard and tirelessly until the last whistle. Crendon forever want another win, and with thanks to our striker Luke Munday whose goal count averages out at three goals per game we often get our wish. It has been a great experience for me and many of the other boys as we have grown more used to each other’s play style on the pitch, enabling us to play even better as a unit. Training is very light-hearted and fun but thanks to our brilliant and hardworking coaches Darren Munday and James Northcott who are always inventing new and challenging drills, we are forever improving our game.

After a long and fruitful season, our coach, Darren Munday booked us in for a great day out with the team where we had a couple of games of bowling, lunch and watched the Oxford v Wycombe Wanderers match, this was a really fun day out and was a great opportunity for us to bond off the pitch. All in all Crendon U14’s is a team where you can go to make new friends, have fun and enjoy yourself, but most importantly, consistently work on and improve your game in order to control the flow of the game.
